I would definately recommened getting a deifferant stall.I had a TB stall in my truck for one day and had it taken out.Its just not a very effiecent unit if you want better times as well as just all around driveabilty. That thing was so loose it made me mad lol.

No, infact it would probably hurt you. Go ahead and get it though and sell it to me cheap. The truck intake actually flows better down low and doesnt drop off till I think around 5800 rpm or so. Till you get a cam, you wont be able to take advantage of the extra flow on the top end IMO

Quit bitchin Stewart you gotta pay to play.

Get a fat converter in there shift kit with no TM and then do a cam. If you are going to the trouble ot pull the heads to put these wonderful cometic head gaskets on there put some real heads back on. I think guys are missing the point on the head gasket thing. Why pull the heads to swap a gasket when you can pull them and put some real power back on. Cometic isnt super power maker I have them on my 418 they are just a tough gasket.

Quit putting off throwing a cam in it and put a 224 in it

If youre gonna pull the heads to swap gaskets (pointless IMO) go ahead and at least get em shaved .030, and get a 3 angle valve job done too, otherwise I wouldnt change good gaskets

When I went from 70% to 100% TM removed, I didn't gain much at all.
It shifted harder during 50-75% throttle, but WOT stayed the same mostly.
Stew, you seen me run a 14.3xx at the track when me and you first went to the track (Nelson 93oct street tune with 70% TM removed and Volant CAI kit). The last time I was out with you guys I ran a 14.283 (Nelson tune w/ 100% TM removed, Volant w/ ram air, and Corsa cat-back) .
Three extra mods and didn't even gain an entire tenth. (100% TM removed, ram air tube, and Corsa cat-back) I did have traction problems, but my MPH should have been better to compensate for the extra mods. I only gained 1 mph. Not even an entire mph.
I would leave the TM were it is now.

Jim
