how much would it raise it and what would it be worth powerwise? i already plan a transgo and 100% tm loss, just dont have the time with school and all. i like my trailblazer stall, but want more stall from it now. 3000-3200 sounds comfortable. i think ill just get it restalled.
you might see a 2/10ths raise in compression tops It won't be noticed on the street... it would net you less than 3hp.
and that is all only due the assumption you'll be running a thinner gasket... not the fact that it's "cometic"

I'd steer more towards an inline fuel pump, a little larger injector and TB, and possibly upgrading to an LSX intake... no more than the 78mm ones if staying N/A. the runner design should help out your top end and a cam swap if you decide to would only optimize these modifications... but as it stands it may be a little overkill.

Jim
if your running the stock crank pulley you have to bypass the alternator. that's how i run my shortbelt.

with the u/d pulley, the diameter is so small that the belt will clear the p/s pulley in order to run it to the alternator. this way you can run it like this or like above.

what i usually do at the track is between each run, i hook up the jumper cables from another vehicle and let it charge for a few mins. i've done 2 back to back 1/4mi passes once without charging it and it didn't miss a lick. i just charge it between runs to be safe.

i just swapped the factory belt back on between runs for a quick recharge, but the method running around the alt just seems so much more wory free ill get another belt for free anyways .

i went today to look into a deep cycle battery. its guna end up costing me 10 extra to upgrade to the yellow top optima, or blue top exide. then if my connections come through another 30 for a 145 alt. i can get big guage wire for free, so ill replace the "big 3" wires. hopefully that will take care of any voltage probs.

Why don't you just get a trans brake and dump that bitch at 6k? Back it up with a 4L80e, ford 9", and some et drags.

Stewart. Honestly if you get a real converter you will see a lot better gains. The factory TB converter weighs 54 lbs (I think) My Fuddle weighs 32 thats 22 lbs off the rotational mass the engine has to spin. Thats a lot. Makes a big difference. You could go with a Fuddle 5500 though that would be fun 12 fo sho.

I think you would see good gains froma cometic head gasket...5-10 maybe especially if you had your heads milled while they were off. I would also say you would see alot more gains going with a fuddle than restalling the TB converter for not much more money

sorry AP. missed your post about the belt....i will need the belt to swap out with the new belt i will be getting. just swapping the belts at o-reily.

im already cutting great 60' times IMO. 1.95 on slicks, 2.02 on street tires. how much can i gain from the fuddle, and more importantly...how much money.

See fuddleracing.com I had it posted then remembered hes not a sponcer here, but he is on tech (does that mean we can post prices?) Id expect an additional .2-.5 with the Fuddle over the TB. TRUST me the difference from the stock TB to the Fuddle was close to .5 ifnot a little more. I'll be getting some times in the next couple of weeks.
