were the 98 cobras fast?

Default were the 98 cobras fast?

i ran one today from about 35-80 and it wasn't even pretty, he had exhaust and a 5spd that's all i could tell...had him by about 3 lengths once it was over and i shut off at 80. whats the word on those things? i thought they were supposed to be over 300hp from ford.

Well if you beat it, it must be slow. Unless all that horsepower you got on the floor kicked in

I got a friend who is a mustang freak, and from what i know of his mustang, it should run 14.5's stock.

it was probably a 6cly with a cobra body kit and exhaust if you took him that hard

most 98 cobras can run 13.2-14. First depends on driver. I have driven 2 that were my friends and both were 98. My buddy took his down to the track and ran it like the 1 month he had it and ran 13.7 with exhaust. We then put 4.10 in it and we went back to the track a coupe of weeks later. He drove a 13.2. Then I drove it and ran a 12.95. These engines rev to 7k and are still making power. Lets just say the driver needs to know how to drive this kind of car to get it to perform. Those 4.10 in these things are awesome.

I have never seen a stock 96-98 cobra break into the 13's. Then again again I have only seen 2 run.

Yeah, most of them run anywhere from high 13's to low 14's in the 1/4. Although I know a guy with a '96 Cobra that has pulleys, Xpipe, and 4.56's that runs mid 12's.
