They are fairly quick stock. My dads boss has a sunfire yellow '98 svt cobra convertible with every engine mod available (Vortech s/c with aftercooler running 13lbs of boost, extreme cam, one of a kind forged crank, balanced and bluebrinted engine, gears, heads, built dodge viper 6spd tranny, drag radials, long tube headers, x-pipe, no cats, etc..) Anyways he can punch it on the hwy at about 75 and spin the tires. Its a hell of a ride. He took it to the track and missed a gear because it revs so quick and spun most of the way and he still ran a high 10 sec run. Its a mean convertible.

Spun most of the way and still got a high 10. Was that on the 1/8?

I had a run in with a 96 or 97 cobra this past Tuesday in my work truck. A couple punk looking kids were in it riding my bumper coming out of town on a straight flat road where the speed limit goes from 35 up to 60. I was running about 35 when they came up on me so I slowed it to 25 and looked in the mirror. Sure enough, he took the bait and made a quick move to the other lane and I saw his front end raise up. He was able to get his front tire about even with where the cab and bed meet before the 'ol 4l60 found low gear. Once I hooked I pulled away pretty hard and by 85 I had about 4 cars on him and he had enough and turned around and went the other way. I tought that ford owner the meaning of sleeper!

I'm not sure what the 1/8th time was, it was a while ago. I'll try to find out.

well if you guys want to ask someone who owns a 98 cobra, contact or PM evilstang on this site. his cobra dynoed out at just over 700 rwhp, but it is a high boost blow stang, with a little shot of gas on it.

stock like already mentioned can go from mid 13's to low 14's
