Unhappy vegetarians inside

hey all, how can i tell if my kid is a vegetarian? she likes steak when i cook it. but here lately, when i make sandwiches or what ever, ravioli's, she no longer wants meat on it or in it, xmas dinner she didn't want turkey, thanksgiving was the same, no ham or turkey. the other day, i cooked a few deer roast on the rotisarie and the same thing. can she be a vegetarian in the making and how can i convert her back? mad cow disease or no mad cow disease, i am gonna eat meat. she should too. (in my honost and humble opinion, she can make her own choices, i would rather they be like mine is all) thanks for the help

Being a vegetarian is a crime, atleast if you're a Greek. Take her to an authentic greek restaurant, that should fix that problem.

But lots of people don't like turkey or ham though. I'm not a big fan of most types of ham either, even honey roasted ham! And I usually only prefer white turkey. So she's not a vegetarian just yet.

Now if she turns down some authentic deep marinated salted souvlaki sprinkled in lemon and juice, then you have yourself a problem.

hahaha, well, she likes my steak, which kicks *** in it's own right, so i imagine anything marinated or well seasoned she will like. i am just curious cause she is turning down pepporoni and hotdogs, etc, then again, so did i at this age. but she is my step daughter so i know my genes aren't in her, so that can't be the reason. lol

I'm not saying this to be disrespectful in any way but what if she is exploring the avenues of vegetarianism? Would you love her less because of it? I doubt you would. Maybe it's just a phase she's going through. You'll know she's a veggie when she tells you.

BTW, 2 cows were slaughtered and made into hamburger for me too eat during this post. Just a little sarcasm, I'm definitely NOT a veggie.

If God didn't want us to eat animals, He wouldn't make them out of meat. Honestly though, I remember when I was in highschool, it seemed like every girl went through some earthy stage where they experiment with vegitariansm. It never lasted though. How old is your girl?

i think age is a definite factor here... some try it for the fashion while some girls dont like the idea of animals being hurt or something. maybe she saw something on tv.

haha, bad hunter. well, if she wants to be a vegetrarian, then by all means let her. i just know we eat a ton of meat at my house. i just don't understand how someone could resist my grilling. i will whoop emerils *** on the grill. nah probably not but i can whip up some good stuff. she is 9 so i was mainly wondering if it was normal for girls that age to do that.
