Default TruckTrend Nov/Dec issue

Maybe this is old news, but it says the LQ9 345 hp 6.0 available in 1/2 ton in
2006.

2007 will see Gen IV Vortecs. No mention of a 320 hp or 355 hp HO 5.3.
It does mention a aluminum 6.0 and 6.2. The 6.2 seeing 400 hp.

The 6.2 will likely be mated to the new 6L80-E transmission.

There will be a 6L90-E at 520 ft lb rating.

I hope these new transmissions will be able to be fitted into a older truck.

The article never specified which 1/2 tons the 6.0 L could be in.

A no frills, bare bones RCSB with a 6.0 L would be nice.

Cool

I was just talking to our local dealer in New Brunswick, Canada and I am sure he said that the Vortec Max was available in any body style 1500. LQ9 with 345HP and 380 lb-ft with the 4L80E and 9.5 rear 14 bolt axle. 10000 lb towing capacity and some sort of air bag or adjustable shock suspension to handle the extra towing capacity.

Was your source one that was "in the know" that it will become reality??
Also, will it be for 2wd and 4wd? thanks
