Default Truck won't take second gear

I just got my Nelson tune installed, went out and tested it, and found that at WOT my truck will not take second gear and ends up nose diving. That is until I let out of the throttle, then it shifts into the next gear. Is this a transmission problem or is it my torque converter?

its a tune problem. the shift needs to be set sooner, you are hitting the rev limiter before the shift.

yes, i would email him first though.

in my truck for example, I have to set the 2-3 shift at 5800 so it will actually shift at 6100.

Would raising my rev limit help the situation. This weekend, I'm hoping to have a performabuilt lv2 trans in the truck.

Yes, but unless you have upgraded internals I would keep it under 6300. if you have better springs, maybe 6500, and if you dont have a cam you arent making any power at that rpm anyway...

I would just lower the shift point so it shifts where you want it.
