Truck stolen today!!!!!
#1
My wife went to Home Depot, 20 minutes later, the Superduty was gone, had her four years, the truck, not the wife. Bought her brand new, again the truck, not the wife. Now looks like I will be looking for another. Again, a truck not a wife. May look at the Duramax or the Cummins this time. Depends on what the insurance does. I have never been in this position before. Anyone have any suggestions. BTW, I know this is a little off topic in this forum, however, just need to vent. This was a strong running Ford, never had a lick of problems. Sorry to see it go this way. Thanks for your input.

we had two of those trucks stolen one f250 and one f350. but what i get from reading your post it is no big deal. it seams you did not have much in the truck so well hell you get a new one and well the hastle. that is how we looked at it but if some one stole one of the vehicles i had a lot in it would be another story.

We had lot in it, custom exhaust, chip, custom bumpers with winch. It was a 7.3l diesel, w/ forged rods. I was planning on new turbo, and new injectors--looking for 400 hp and 800 tq. I just had put a roll top bed cover on it. It was my wifes "baby". The only way I can justify the loss is to just try thinking of it as an inanimate object that can be replaced and that my family is safe and o.k.

when my wifes and my navigator was stolen, i was pissed and happy at the same time. hated to see it go but happy to lose that 600 buck a month truck note. basically the insurance made me wait 30 days then paid almost the whole vehicle off. don't be afraid to haggle with them if yours isn't paid off yet. if you had a camera in there. make it known and ask how much they are paying you for each item that was in the vehicle.
also, some insurance companys will say "if it isn't bolted down, we don't cover it" so watch yourself on that deal.
