What year is it and I assume it has the 4L80? I would go with it if it is an 02 or newer. The tranny seems to be the most problematic part of our trucks. 2K is definately worth it for a 6.0 and 4L80 in my opinion.

most likely it will be a 1500, and not a 2500.
