be aware that the 4L80 will eat lots of ponies. Yes, its an easy conversion, but I wasn't ready for how much rwhp it wud draw. IMO, south of 450rwhp, I'd go with a level 5 4L60... but ask around.

Its a function of how much torq and rwhp u have...even Vince @ FLT will tell u north of 450rwhp ur on borrowed time with the 60E. I can also tell u that anything that is weak as u move to that HP level will undoubtably break, and ull be lucky if it doesn't take something else with it. Just adjust ur rwhp expectations down about 50-75hp if u go to an 80E. Some will argue its anywhere from 75-110hp parasitic draw v 60E...but its all moot if u don't do ur rr end as well...I didn't and ended up doing tranny damage as well as smashing the rr end.
