Trust me, that was then, this is now.
I think the ole 6.0 with 9.5 psi has something for it!
But hey, I like the L. Infact I almost bought one. I am not Brand bashing at all, I have owned them all! An L with a 4 pound lower and a tune will run about 13.0 to 12.90. You put a Kenne Bell on it and good night ! Bottom line, there is always a faster car / truck out there, and I am able ho hold my own against most.

Santiago, Good luck with the Lightning! If I was single, I would be driving one right now. If I didn't need a three butt back seat, I would be driving a Harley Supercrew right now. I think you're right, the Lightning, it set up from the factory to handle the power it makes. It has the tranny and rear end from the diesel truck, and a road handling suspension. I've read a lot of posts where some one pops a blower on a 5.3L and you read "it's great". Then 2 months later there's a post that says "My tranny capped out", then they get a built tranny and the next post is "My rear end crapped out". That happens because the tranny and read ends in our trucks aren't built for that kind of power, the Lightning is. The only problem I forsee is, you going through tires!! LOL! Good luck!
