Well, all the wrecks I've been in havent really been my fault. The last one kinda because I should have been on the gas when it was wet. Sorry if I took it the wrong way. I heard that Ford tranny's are hard to blow, but lets see if it can take the Santiago test.

I'd rather pay slightly higher payments than have to worry about saving up for mods and having the truck down while they are being done like I would have to worry about if I were to keep and mod my truck. I totally agree that with a blower and bolt ons a GMC would walk the Lightning. I just like how its already fast as hell without having to modify anything. Saying that I'll wreck it or blow up the tranny I think is pretty fucked up because I'd never wish anything like that on any of you guys or your trucks. If you want to be ******** just because I'm trying something different then go ahead. When I traded in my Z71 to get the '03 I was way upside down so my payments are very high in relation to what I have, so if my payments can maybe go up $50-$75 extra a month then so be it as I would be owning a much better vehicle.
I have decided to purchase the best "factory" truck available on the market at this time. Please note I say "FACTORY" truck.
Im not trying to be an ******* bro. I said what I did jokingly. No misfortune or harm intended by it. Hell I almost bought one before I got my truck!! Id still like to buy one!

1) 03-04 Ls have not had the plug blow out problem
2) Stock Ls run mid to high 14s - just ask nearly any of these truck racers on this forum......
3) let me know how your stock GM motors with roots/screw blowers are running with 100K miles

congrats on a superior handling/drag racing pickup truck that can still tow.

the lightning is the definate way to go for ultimate performance....the only problem with them i see is that somewhere i heard that the 5.3 can't be bored any more than it already is....that would be a little of a bitch.
