tire size on a 4/6 drop

tire size on a 4/6 drop
i have an 06 silverado and wanna do a 4/6 drop i am having a problem deciding on a tire sizs. i was thinking along the size of a 265 65 17. i have the stock 17 inch rims. any suggestions would be great help thanks
