Question those who did a 4l80 swap???

is this the correct flexplate. if it is then did you change the starter. mine seems not to line up after putting on the flex. it sticks back to far.

part number is-12580709.

Does not look like the one I used....but I am sure there are different ones. Did you get the spacer?

yes i have the spacer. when it is on there it sticks out farther than the stock one. a part number for the one that all have used would be great. i have went to two dealers and they are giving me the same one.

Did you try turning it different ways? If it doesn't fit one way, flip it the other way.

I think that looks like the one I used. The spacer was pressed on mine though.

My book says use PN 12551367 flexplate for 4L80E with spacer PN 12563532 and bolts PN 12563533.

You should be shopping for a 2002 Chevy Silverado 2500 with a 6.0 if that helps.

I'm gonna say that your converter isn't in all the way. We had the ame problem when we put mine in. It turned out the flat edges of the converter weren't in the pump just right and didn't want to seat properly. It took a couple of tries before it fit right.

no the reason it wont fit is the flexplate i have recasses like the 60e. so it hits the middle of the the converter.

What is that flywheel supposed to fit? Interesting that it only has 3 converter bolt holes-I thought all '80e's had 6 bolts. The 6 liter flywheel is flat like the one in your pic and uses the spacer whereas the 5.3 flywheel is curved and doesnt use a spacer.
