Here is the reply from TRE performance:

We do not carry a 255 LPH pump for the Silverado.

The TRE-382 is not on our website since we do not yet have the full kit for it. We only have the pump and a filter, I have attached an image of what you would receive. The pump is basically a stock replacement pump, so it will not have any problems on a lightly modified truck.

Thank you,
Nick North

Nick,

Thank you for the reply.

The TRE-382 that you mention is not on your website. Could you please send me info and/or specs on it?

Do you have a 255 lhp version direct fit, NO MOD pump (for the return type system) as well?

Thank you,

Al

So basically just like the thread started, no one sells a 255 for our intank.

So back to replacing just the stocker. Man go on ebay and look at all of the MU1089's for sell. If you buy just the pump for 50 bucks you have to take the bucket apart (no big deal) but for another 50 to 75 bucks you can have a whole new unit....sensors and all.

Here is the info on the $218.85 pump, which is a Walbro, and is supposed to be a direct fit, NO MOD replacement:

Hello Al,

Walbro states that the average free flow value on the 432 series pump
at 12.0 volts DC is 215.8 lph. The free flow will go up linearly
with voltage
increase. So....at 13.6 volts the pump will have a free flow of ~
244.5 lph.

Regards,
Earl

Does the pump come with a sending unit in the assembly or is it just the pump and bucket?

Looks like this is just a Walbro OE-style replacement fuel module.Won't provide any more fuel than your stock unit.

A 255lph pump should have a free flow of over 330lph at 13.6V.

Better to go with an inline booster pump on your setup unless you want to do some serious modding of your fuel module. You will be able to achieve the same or better flow rate compared to GSS340.

I don't believe so...appears to be just a pump and filter

Yeah,...the ProCharger comes with an in-line electric pump that mounts to the frame rail. I've already had to replace it once, as well.

Here is another reply in regards to the $49.95 unit from TRE:

Yes that is correct, it will flow around 110lph.

So,…
It will fit the stock bucket, w/ NO MODS…correct?

Sorry for all of the details, but getting knee deep into this removal and install

just to find that it doesn’t just slide right in and plug right up would be a major issue.

What are the specs, in comparison to the 255lph?

Thank you for your time and consideration,

Al

Contacted Walbro directly...here is the e-mail trail...

Al,
Our TU432-1 covers 5.3L, M.P.I. w/OBDII (EVAP emissions) and our TU434-1 covers 5.3L, M.P.I. w/o OBDII (EVAP emissions).
If you don’t know whether or not you have the OBDII, get TU432-1 and if during replacement you discover you do not have it, just don’t plug it in. The downside to that would be that you’d be paying for something you don’t need if in fact you don’t.
Both are direct, stock replacement modules.
If you need a source for purchase, you can contact our national distributor, The V E Petersen Co @ 800-537-6212.

Hope this helps.

Thank you for your reply.
I have a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado Extended Cab, 5.3L, 2WD which has a return type fuel system.
I want to know if Walbro makes a direct-fit, in-tank replacement fuel pump for this application.
Everyone I have talked to online in forums with similar set-ups say there is NO direct-fit replacement, only ones that can be used with modifications required.
However, I was told by ONE dealer of Walbro that there is a direct-fit replacement pump.
I just want to get the info straight from the manufacturer.

Thank you in advance,

So, your next question is, what is the output rating on that "replacement" pump. Looks to me that it's just an OE replacement. What I would be looking for specifically is one that does 255lph minimum. Otherwise, why upgrade? The only plus to that replacement setup is it may have a reputation of lasting longer than the Delphi ones.

can you get a specification sheet on it?

I can't seem to figure out how to post it, but, it is spec'd as having minimum 26 GPH @ 13.5V
whatever that relates to in litres...
not a 255 for sure
