Default Curious as to price..

I'm selling the 4.8 out of my truck to prepare fora 6.0 swap.. I'm just wondering what it might go for... It has 153000 miles clocked on it ..

Seriously, I wouldn't expect to get much of anything for it, if you can even sell it. It has high miles and is the smaller 4.8

possibly... if someone wants one to just freshen up and replace their existing 4.8..... sounds reasonable... maybe even a shade less though honestly with that many miles on it.

Hell I practically gave my 5.3 away. It had only 26K miles, now granted it was only the short block but I let it go at about $350 after shipping costs.
There is just no demand for a 4.8 or 5.3 anymore.

you might pay someoen to take that. my 49k 5.3 sold for 700 shipped

in honestly you may see 200 bucks if that cause thats alot of mileage and its a 4.8. its like ppl trying to sell 305s back in the day

I'd gladly give $200 for a 4.8...you bore it out to 5.7 spec (3.9"), throw a stock 5.7 rotating assembly into it and you've got a 346cid iron-block motor, I bet I could put together a complete motor for under $1500

PM me and we'll discus me possibly buying this motor.....

That's about $200 less than I got into my new 6.0 after selling off a few parts, plus I got a new alternator and other parts out of it. I wouldn't waste my time with a iron block 346 with a stock rotating assembly, but everyone is different.
