Default Tail gate cap question

Back when I got my truck painted I got a new tail gate, now I have 4 or 5 holes in my tail gate where the tail gate cap attaches to. i went to the dealership and they gave me 5 hexagon shaped retainers with a bunch of screws but I have no idea how the retainers go inside the tail gate, anyone know how to do this?

i think you have to have a tool to put them in. they go in like rivets.

no the front license plate is just the square plastic inserts. the ones for the tailgate are hexagon shaped but the face of them are round. im really not sure how they go in but they have to be ground off or drilled out to be removed. there is a name for them but i cant remember what they are called.

Thats not it. I have the tool you need. I bought it and did not need it.

This is what you want. I have one. Let me know if you want it. I will sell it cheaply to you. Mine already had the rivets in it when I took the old cap off. LOL..but not before I bought the darn tool.
