starting lc8/l96 swap looking for insight
hey guys whats up? im new to posting but not to the forum. i have a 05 rcsb that im looking to do a 6.0 swap in . the sprayed 4.8 is no longer enough haha.
anyway ive been shopping around for 6.0s looking at the usual suspects lq9/4 ect and ive come across quite a few lc8s (which is the cng l96 plus stainless intake valves and hardened seats from what i gather). im under the impression and i may be wrong that it has the ls3 style intake ports. obviously i have ls1 ports and im pretty sure i have the 24x wheel and it has the 58. what im looking for out of you gentleman is a comprihensive list of parts needed to make the intake side and electronic portion of this swap correct. i hear there may also be a knock sensor issue as well. i havent pulled the trigger on the lc8 yet but they go for around 1000 cheaper than the 9s do as well as it seems it would be a good idea to go ahead and convert to the better head style for future mods and swaps. any info would be wonderful thanks
