LS1 EDIT - Locked and Loaded

LS1 EDIT - Locked and Loaded
I posted this on the other board, but it needs to be here as well.
Have been running LS1 EDIT for a week now. It has taken me some time to get it all down, but I am finally making progress. I can feel the difference. Here are a few things I have changed:
-pulled out most of the torque management
-Raised Rev limiter to 6400
-moved 1-2 shift points to near 6300 rpms
-same with 2-3 shifts
-increased timing at 4000 rpms+
-lowered effects of knock
-turned off rear O2 sensors
-turned off EGR
-changed tire sizes
-customized shift firmness *soft shift low moving then to firm shifts up high
-changed torque converter lock up RPMs
-increased fuel additions to compensate for lean Ltrims
-raised idle RPMs
-moved normal driving shift points up a few MPH
***this made a huge diff - no more shifting to 2nd in McDonalds drive through line
-Moved speed limiter to 180 (thats for you Lennart ) *I'll never try it out, but it sounds good.
I still have alot to learn, but is is very nice to be able to have near complete control over the PCM. I need to make a bunch of minor tweaks with the fuel and transmission, but its getting there.
Oh yeah - It takes less than 2 minutes to upload the whole PCM file - take that hypertech!

Re: LS1 EDIT - Locked and Loaded
That's awsome, I would have liked to got in on that, but like you said, Dallas is a long way if I had a problem. Email me some pricing info on it so maybe I can get a 3 man group in on it down here in Houston if you don't mind.
Do you have any before and after times? How does the new tq managment feel? Does the shift firmness differ from HPPIII much?

Re: LS1 EDIT - Locked and Loaded
nice! glad there is a nice noticable performance gain. one thing i wanna try, for a consistant launch... make a track file and set it to idle at 1000rpm when the truck is in drive with the ac off, then turn off ac and pull up to the tree, may not work out like planned, but sounds cool, lol. man cant wait to get that on my truck now <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Big Tex:
What perameters were you specifically looking for in the ATAP from my truck. I am running some more "toll road" passes tonight and I can log some info and post tonight if you want.

Re: LS1 EDIT - Locked and Loaded
Thank you Oxidizer. What you log depends on your driving. For normal driving, log these items for me: ltrims, timing, tps, knock, MAF, and rpms. For WOT, I would like: Front O2s, rpms, knock, timing and MAF. You could log all of them, but I have found the intervals are way too long the more you log. So, if you feel frisky, log WOT stuff. If not, log your normal drive.
I have been logging data for a week with different LS1 EDIT changes. I am working up some info on my spark tables. I am looking at MAF flow and timing to determine plot out the spark table. Then looking at knock and the effect on timing. I have complete tables for 99 and 00 5.3 trucks, but nothing newer.
Greg - Price is $550 for first user, and add $100 for each additional user. I can tell a difference in the tranny, but haven't completely ironed out all the bugs. Tonight, it was bouncing in and out of lock-up when cruising at low speeds in 3rd. Overall its much better. TQMGT- I honestly cant feel that big of a difference yet. Unfortunately, before and after times will be apples to oranges. It will be a little while before I hit the track again.
Bryan- I'm getting there. I still see some mild knock during normal driving, but not as much. I must have had some crappy gas (Racetrac). I do see timing just bounce down 20 deg from 40 on freeway then right back up during normal driving at same rpms. Haven't figured that out yet. It was doing that before I started programming.

Re: LS1 EDIT - Locked and Loaded
I'll log some PTO and WOT tonight an post in a few hours after dinner.
With the converter, most my PTO rpm range is 3000-4000 unless I get into lock-up in 3rd+
BTW- thes numbers will be with 93 octane HPP3 tuning installed.

Big Tex:
I was able to get 3 WOT passes and 2 PTO passes. I transfered them to Excel but I need to get them on disk and I'll E-mail them to you.
