i have professional grade raybestos ceramics all the way around on the denali and it has the shittiest softest pedal of any vehicle ive ever owned, unles you drive this thing stop n go for about 10 minutes it doesnt stop for ****.

as far as an oh **** braking while the brakes are cold it would end up smashing into something for sure.

GM Parts Direct has the calipers listed at $226.18 each + shipping and handling. The caliper brackets will set you back $200.00 for the front and $150.00 for the rear or if you purchase them together, you can knock of $50.00 for a total of $300.00. A set of Hawk Ceramic pads will set you back about $176.00 for the fronts and $117.00 for the rear. The 15" Baer rotors for the front can be had for somewhere around $272.50 each, as that is the Racer Net Price. Doing the front and rear will run you over a couple of thousand, but when your looking at somewhere around $3000.00 for just the fronts for a Baer S6 system it does start to look more appealing. Even as such, you’re not really looking at the same set of brakes, six pistons or not.
You also might have to incur the cost of new wheels to clear the brakes.

Very good point, as you will need at least a set of 20's, but even then they will need to be the right offset or design. By design, what I mean is when I had the 20" Gibb's wheels the curvature of the spokes were too much and would hit the caliper's. That's exactly why I ended up buying the Motoforge 22's I currently have. Of course, no matter what set of big brakes you decide on if you went that route, you would need to look into wheel fitment requirements. At least with the engineered kits out there, they have templates to measure everything.

Great question. I still need to change my oil. Hopefully THAT will get done today.

Thanks Jarrod for pricing info.
Jarrod, like SnakeOiler & you said, "you also might have to incur the cost of new wheels to clear the brakes".
And of course, tires too, makes the whole ball of wax, an $$$$ proposition. I've accepted that as a necessary evil to better brakes. I don't like it tho.

I figure if I want 14" brakes, I'm lookin at 18" wheels. The 15" would need 20"s. And I know, I didn't even mention the 16" Wilwoods. Like we've talked my friend, I don't wanna compromise too much of my handling (and ETs too) for huge brakes.

Altho judging by how fast u are,...

bluchev "as far as an oh **** braking while the brakes are cold it would end up smashing into something for sure". Might wanna address that, cause a accident & possibly higher insurance if ya rearend someone would pay for it.
