Sick of the word Hemi
#24
Interesting article at http://www.allpar.com/mopar/new-mopar-hemi.html. About 2/3 through the article, D-C finally 'fesses up and says the 5.7L "hemi" isn't a real hemi. They used to have a picture of the combustion chamber but I can't find it anymore. It is actually oval shaped, like a watermelon sliced lengthwise.
Anyway, my brother-in-law bought one, crew cab long bed with all the bells and whistles. It seemed to be a pretty nice truck (of course they are all nice when brand new) but I was surprised that he had to wind the engine up to about 3200 rpm to get even a modest amount of power. Anyway, I'll take my meek little 4.8 GMC rcsb (with the Magnusson --- SSSHHHH) any day.

I'll try to find a pic.
