Default Should the WB guage be giving me a reading

If the damn thing isn't hooked up. So I went and wired up the ole 02 gauge today, but didn't hook the sensor into the pipe yet. I turned the truck on to check it and see if it worked, it did. Bit I have a 14.7 reading on the gauge that fluctuates from the to 14.9. LOL. I know on a innovate it will read error untill it(sensor) is hooked up. Just curious, also this is on an autometer WB.

Thanks John

Ok thanks TREV just wanted to be sure it wasn't broke or anything. I should be ok with having the gauge on with out the sensor hooked up for a lil bit correct. I am sure it won't hurt it, but is always better to have another op.
