Well, after about 6 weeks down and my clutch being lost in shipment, I finally got the Textralia Exoskel clutch in and tranny + Caltracs, meth inj, 70lb injectors, 2-step rev limiter, 4" aluminum driveshaft, 3 bar full speed density file loaded in and cranked it......Peck, peck, peck, peck, peck, peck.....
It is just as loud underneath the truck as it is above and it doesn't sound like valvetrain nor a rod bearing. I'm leaning torwards a piston. On the dyno on about the 15th pull it spit the dip stick tube out and on the way home I was thrashing on it on the interstate(when I broke the tranny) and it spit the dipstick out then and puked 1/2 qt of oil in the engine bay. I haven't heard it idle outside of the truck until now.
It never had any KR on the dyno. I will pull the valvecovers when it cools off just to check. Needless to say I have started drinking before noon today
I need all my fellow drunken brothers to have one on my behalf

Heh i know your pain. My truck is being looked at for a constant tic-tic-tic sound. And guess what, the mechanics are 95% sure its a spun main bearing
Hopefully a GM Remanufactured LQ9 costs about the same as a remanufactured LQ4... thats the only positive thing i can think about right now...
