Default roll up window problems

I'm having a problem with my driver side roll up window. When its rolled all the way up i cannot roll down my window. However when i slam the door, the window rolls down. Then the window works correctly until you roll it all the way up and the same problem occurs.

when it is rolled up the motor doesnt make a single sound when you press the button.

any ideas?

you may have a bad connection somewhere in the door if slamming it helps. pop the panel off and jiggle some wires and see if everything looks right

What's the year/make/model of this vehicle? That would help.

With your description, the first thing I'd check is for cracking/fraying harness wires in the driver's door boot.

Good luck, let us know what you find.
