Default Question for you tire guys

Can a tire only be plugged twice before has to be replaced? Does it need to be replaced even if it has plenty of tread left? If I have vibration at 65-70 doesnt that mean my front tires need to be balanced? Thanks in advanced.

I have never heard about the only 2 plugs, I plug all my cars and trucks, Corvette included. I don't plug my cycle, I have a patch put on the inside and the same can be done to your truck. Your tires may need balancing and if your shocks are bad they could cause some vibration.

Yep, I wouldn't worry about more than 2 plugs. Just watch where you drive.

The 2 plug "rule" is usually in place by the repair shops. Of course they want to sell ya a new tire(s) in the long run.
Balance and rotation should take care of ya.

Balance and rotate, or if you're really interested in precision, get 'balance matching' done - where the best area of the tire is mounted on the best area of the wheel.

Thanks guys. I know it would be better to get a new tire instead of the plugging it again. But i also now the guy is trying to make a sell. The ones in the front i am going to get balanced at another store to see if that fixes the vibration problem.

There is only one way to mount the tire on the wheel where it balances the best. What happens is they mount the tire on the wheel and put it on this special balancing machine. After spinning the wheel/tire combo on this special machine, it tells the operator exactly how to rotate the tire on the wheel to optimize this position. The operator marks the wheel and tire, then lets the air out of the tire and rotates the tire on the wheel to align the marks. Then the tire is filled with air again and balanced. Takes a while, costs a little more, but when it's all said and done, very little change of vibration that could occur with just a regular balance.
