i've managed to have 4-5 seperate individual rocks hit my damn window........ They look fantastic with my 2 other old stars....

(adds ballistic rocks to the "negatives of living outside of the city" list)

 

ahhh, ya know you can get those fixed for free by your insurance at one of those rock chip repair tents on the side of the highway.....

 

yeah but I've yet to actually see a star crack get fixed that was worth a penny.......On my first star, I went to a texaco tent to get it "fixed", and well, that was a joke.....

I dunno, they don't bother me much, but its not helping keeping the value......as if the '00 models still really have any.....

 

dude, i had one bounce off my hood and into my windshield like 3 days after i bought my truck...now that sucks.

thing about not gettin them fixed tho is that come winter that stars gonna wanna walk across the windshield. thats why i get mine repaired, im sorry, not repaired just doctored so they dont spread accross the windshield. i dont no any body that can make'm disappear.

 

yeh its nearly impossible to make them disappear....they can ofcourse become less visible...but this guy at texaco didnt do crap.

i fortunately havent had any problems with them spreading, even with this heat and the cool ac inside. If theres anything to worry about its the straight cracks.....ive literally watched those things spread while riding in someones car....and in my old suburban....

 

i had the same problem, except on my jizm uh sorry prizm, (yeah it's ball less), anyway, i had three in one drive home from work. took it to a windshield place, i think they just cleaned the window. i can see the star's better since they put their hands on my car. i did my own on my truck and it looks pretty damn good. only prob is it gets expensive to do one star with that little bottle you get with the kit.

At least you didny get a ding on your bed thats on the crease line, it cant come out all the way.. I was really pissed... but to get my mind off it, i say "at least i still got my legs"
