Jim I think your truck would be awesome for Hot Rods Drag week. Im planning on running my Camaro in it as its not till September so I got plenty of time to dial my new setup in this summer. Even if I dont win im sure it will be fun. By the way you should go so I can put my slicks in the back of your truck.

Not to bash the lightning cause its definatley pretty cool but it defeats the purpose of the whole project, experience, and joy of watching parish make new Street times that were never even thought possible with a street truck. I know a guy that runs a 8.77 in the 1/4, if you want to get technical about it, and its an old S10. Parish, by far, has a much greater accomplishment in my honest opinion.

Same thing I am thinking if you put them at the same weight I bet heads up that good Bow Tie would be in front are would be a close race.I am willing to say that lighting weight is around 3000 are less parish weight is around 5500,and parish can pull the lighting to the track for them they might get their faster.

last year that lightning probably weighed in around 4000-4200lb's with me at 4700lb's. i will probably gain 100lb's with all of the safetly equipment and he is working on loosing something like 500+lb's.

i will likly make more power than him but with him 1000lb's+ less weight than me and him having a killer drag set up hoping for 1.2sec 60' times i dont have much of a chance.

Your truck only weighs 4700lbs. I figure it weighed over 5000lbs with all the 4x4 stuff on it. Mine is 4370 with a 1/4 tank of gas. 2bseen's truck weighs 5800 and its an SS. Didnt think yours was that light.

my reg weight is around 4800, that is with some weight reduction. then pulling off everything that i can think of like the gate and passenger seat i can get it down to 4700.

i would be suprized if an ss was 5800lb's

Parish8,
Do you want to go down 2000 pounds? Very easy, trow away your chassis and make one of carbon fiberglass.
