Jim, dont sell yourself short now... You have to remember that while he has a lighter body, he is also switching his setup to a turbo... he may gain a little more power than he has now but, with you being heavier....you put more load directly on that turbo and I think you know what I'm getting at. Up that boost because where his chokes out you should be able to gain enough HP and Trq over him to either counter the effect of the weight reduction and win or enough to at least keep him in the seat of his pants trying to stay away from you. Your turbo is going to reach its full rpm much quicker under load and continue to hold it longer as well

Parish, as soon as I read about Drag Week all I could think of was a certain blue truck that would make everyone a little nervous. You'd be the perfect sleeper for that set up no doubt.

Since they are both going to still be farely close in weight and I'm assuming JLP's new turbo will be smaller than P's, I was saying since P has more load on the motor itself in turn putting out more exhaust per rpm he should be able to boost his turbo a little bit higher than JLP's. So while JLP has the power and weight reduc. Jim could have MORE power and hopefully have a better power to weight ratio, with less traction problems!
