I was curious if i should hit the 4.8 with a 150 shot or save up and do a 6.0 swap. Does anyone have an idea what my 4.8 would run in the 1/4 mile with the mods in my sig and a 150 shot, it also put down 290hp/260tq any ideas why the tq is so low?

thanks in advance joe

60e will work just fine. What are your plans for the truck, budget, ect. LQ4 and LQ9 are iron blocks which mean they are heavier than the LS2 and 6. But the iron block is typically less expensive unless you can find a smokin deal somewhere.

Will the lq4 or 9 need anything special to drop in my truck or is it a drop it in and turn the key.would my current cam work in a 6.0 along with my springs and what not? I would be willing to spend 1500 on the engine and then tune. my goal is a fast street truck no looking to break records but maybe low 13 high 12 on motor. thanks for all the advice and help man i appreciate it

Have you ever considered throwing a turbo on that 4.8 and calling it a day?
