Default Once again, trying to decide on the truck... lol

Well guys, i've been tossing back and forth whether i should keep the factory chrome bumper and chrome grill shell or if i should colormatch the truck completely black! My problem is, if i do colormatch, id like to get the SS bumper cover in the front but because of the 06 front end, the bumper dips in the middle so i dont think it will fit properly without also getting the 05 grill shell and obviously my hood then wont work either. I had my last factory chrome bumper on my 01 blasted and painted to match but i always had problems with the paint chipping from rocks and stuff. Its wasnt as durable as i would have liked. For the grill shell, im not even sure if they make an all black grill shell for my truck yet but i kinda think it would look sweet. Im not sure if i would want the same style as my factory shell with the bowtie and the splits or if i would like to try the loudmouth grill shell where it would just be the frame and solid billet across the front like the GMC style grill shells. As for the headlights and corners, ill keep them stock unless i decide to swap both the headlights and corners for some aftermarket ones without the amber reflectors. I know i will be getting a rollpan in the rear and shaving the tailgate so either way that will be done. Im also going to get the painted sport mirrors once the truck is lowered and maybe even sell my esky handles and get the solid black painted handles. If i do do everything black, ill keep the billet grill and billet bowtie to throw it off a little and im also trying to decide between keeping my billet centerline 22's or getting a set of black 22's with the polished lip. Id also like to see about getting a cowl hood but for the 06, i dont know if that would be possible because it already has the HD front end and it would be kinda pointless to swap the front end completely to the 05 front end just to run the SS bumper and cowl hood. I just love the way the cowls look on these trucks. I just dont know if it would be worth swapping from the nice looking HD front end. And finally, trying to decide between a 2/4 or 3/5 drop but i already have a post for that. lol Decisions decisions Decisions!!!!!..........

Well guys, what do yall think would look best?

Any help is appreciated! Thanks!!

Yea, i think i will keep the Hd setup. It looks nice on a big crewcab. The cowl would probably look better on a RC or EC anyways but with the full 4 doors, it wouldnt really be needed.

I am leaning towards blacking everything out. I love that look but i also like the look of the all black truck on some nice billet wheels. Either way, i guess im leaning more toward color matching everything. Now i need to decide if i should keep the billet wheels or get some black ones with polished lip.

Ill probably post up for a trade if someone has some 22" black wheels with a polished lip that may be interested in swapping with me. They will either have to have some near new 265/35/22's or 265/40/22's or ill just swap rims and keep my tires.

I will man! lol I dont know if im going to sell them though. Just trying to see what kind of offers i get for a trade with some black wheels. The more i look at my truck though, it make me just wanna keep them.

If someone makes a good offer for a trade for some nice black 22's, ill still consider a trade but other than that, i think im just gonna keep them. These are one of my favorite wheels anyways.

Don't the new SS's have a black grill like your stocker? Still split, but just black. I like a little chrome, but it would look good blacked out too! For the lights, I wouldn't go aftermarket, just clear the ones you have like all the GMC guys do.

I agree. I also like a little chrome on the black but not too much. I think if i keep the esky handles, keep the billet wheels, run a billet grill and bowtie in a SS front grille shell like you said, i think it would look alright. As for clearing the corner lights, how hard is it to take them apart to pull the amber out without making them leak? I dont want to pull them apart if its going to be more trouble for me in the long run. Anyone know how to do that?

Thanks for the info by the way man!
