2001 Silverado 4.8 running K&N and hypertech programmer and 160 thermostat!

ever since i installed these few thing my oil pressure has being running high it passes the 40 mark....is that normal ive heard they say the more oil pressure u have the better it jump out off the hole?is this right or is it a problem?

 

nothing wrong with higer oil presure. Mine runs between 40 and 70 depending on rpm and temp

 

oil pressure is good i would not worrie about it.

 

My pressure did go up a little after instaling the tstat aswell. Its been working fine since.. I would not warry about it.

 

just thought of this: normaly when cold you have more pressure i am guessing because the oil is a little thicker. like my truck will start close to 60 cold then go to a little above 40. So maybe the t stat letting it run a little cooler would have an affect on the pressure.

Cool i thought something was wrong with it cuz like i gun the pedal and it raises aswell.....soon will have more pic and the new drop aswell with some vids

 

doesnt Hypertech programmer make your truck spin both of the wheels??

 

NO......only a posi, locking or lsd differential... Whatever people want to call it.
