First off this is my first question to ask on here and first descent upgrades so take it easy on me! As of now current mods....2000 Reg Cab w/ 5.3
4:11 gears
S&B intake
TB spacer
TB bypass
14" magnaflow
Custom tune
I am ordering a Limited Slip friday. My other intended mods are Patriot LT's, ORY, Efans, and a Harris Speedworks wet kit spraying 125 shot. If the money is right then also an undrive pulley kit. Of course I will get retuned for this. What kind of gains am I looking at here? Also on the efans is it a MUST to get a wiring harness or can I just do a toggle switch? I am gonna get some LS1 fans on ebay. Also if anyone is running a similar setup....what times are your running. Obviously I am spending $1K give or take a few bucks. Is this a wasted $1K or a good spend??? Up for some suggestions also! Thanks ahead of time for any help. Oh yeah........gonna run no cats and delete rear 02's.

The only thing I can think of is to ditch the throttle body spacer, they do nothing on our engines. They only work on TBI and carbed applications. Make sure and throw in a tune after all that as well. Those mods wont net you near as much power unless you tune for them when your done.

Ya I think when I do all this the TB spacer is gone any how. I know I am gonna have to send the PCM back to get retuned. When I order all this I am gonna go ahead and send the pcm so I can get it back about the time I get through putting all this fun stuff on.

Do you mean porting the throttle body, or the intake itself? The intake on our trucks are plastic so I dont think you can port them at all. Feel free to port the throttle body though, I have been contemplating mine, but I might just get a 90mm for mine and call it a day. Do you plan on doing a cam in the future?

I just scanned over this write up on intake data write up on here........thats where I got the idea of porting the intake. I think I read it wrong and that is why I said that about the intake. https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=397720
I may do a cam but that would be next year..........late next year. I am just trying to wisely spend this money.

dont mess with porting the intake..you can port your throttle boddy though..does add a crisper throttle response..ditch the spacer unless you want a wistle effect..dont get a 90mm tb or anything bigger than stock because you intake manifold inlet is only 78mm..if your going to spray get tr6 plugs if your not get tr5 spark plugs..the tb bypass you can buy at the parts store for like a buck verses 14 or whatever on ebay..if you live up north id keep it as some guys in coler climate have had the throttle blades freeze open on them..your stock injectors will do you just fine for what your doing..if you do spray it get a wet kit and not a dry kit..the dry kit its self maybe cheeper but yet youd have to buy injectors and do more tuning..so i the long run just get a wet kit..my ls1 fans i two relays that run them..if you know how to wire stuff up it should be a picnic for you
