Oil Drain Plug

So I bought a "Genuine GM" "new in package" magnetic drain plug from you-know-where and I'm pretty sure I got shafted.
It was just loose in the envelope (no GM bag), the magnet was glued in crooked, and the thread size was stamped into the head of the bolt.
Did GM ever stamp the thread size into the bolt like that?
I just want 100% confirmation before I leave bad feedback.

eBay ID's have been censored. Look at the pic the guy uses, and then he openly admits that it's not Genuine GM... SMH I would have bought these locally if I wanted aftermarket. And look how crooked the magnet is.

Maybe a dumb question, but what's wrong with it? It's not like it's a load carrier or high stress. Just see if the magnet can pick up paper clips and it's good as long as it doesn't bind in the hole.
I wouldn't say you got "shafted" unless you got a NASA Mil-Spec Grade Classified Ferrite Core bolt. At that point, you would be shafted.

Nothing wrong with it, but I want what was advertised.
I could have picked up a generic bolt for the same price at Advance and not had to pay shipping.
If it was not listed as Genuine GM, I would not have bid.
I will keep it and use it anyway though. It's not worth the trouble to send it back.

Seems like his advertisement is misleading to say the least. Have you asked the seller to refund you, or somehow resolve this? Not that he would, but you never know.
I wouldn't hesitate to use the plug though. Should work just fine, but I understand your point.

No because the shipping cost more than the bolt anyway. He had the huge Genuine GM logo in the picture and even the GM part# in the auction, so it isn't just misleading - it's a total lie.
Oh well, like the guy above said... that's what I get for shopping on Fleabay.
Good night guys.
