Default Oh boy, what’s this

Was changing my oil today and found this in the filler neck and oil cap. Is this glycol from the anti freeze. Ive been loosing a quart a month.....cant find any drips outside. I’m thinking cylinder head has a hair line crack or bad head gasket. This can’t be normal condensation right.

Yes, antifreeze. Every 6000 miles I burn a quart of engine oil. I have 121,000 miles on the engine

If you are losing a quart of engine oil and antifreeze every 6,000 miles then yeah you have a problem for sure.

The oil at 6,000 miles isn't a big deal as GM says 1 quart every ~2,000 is okayish. But the coolant loss is bad. Sounds like a cylinder head issue or head gasket.

Well I changed the oil yesterday....now it idles at 30 psi, it used to be 40 psi. At startup this morning I heard valve chatter for 5 mins before it went away. I’m thinking the pickup has that junk stuck in the screen. I live in So Cal, does anyone have a recommendation for a good shop to go to. I would love to do it myself......but don’t have the time or the place for it. Thanks

The Term So Cal covers a huge area. Could you be more specific?

If your an AAA member maybe try one of there recommended Shops.

I recall these 2 shops having good reputations in the past in that area. I only know through word of mouth though, No actual Experience there.
Gustafson Brothers, Inc.
Ron Catt Auto Care

I can Say for certain, stay away from just about every Chevy Dealer within at least a 10 mile radius.
Been Ripped off my self or a relative by just about every one of them.

The only Chevy Dealer I use in the area is Selman Chevrolet. However, I have never had any type of service work done here. They have treated me good on part's and a Used truck that I purchased through them.

Also you Posted this in the GMT 900 Section but I see an air injection tube which leads me to believe this is a 99-01 Truck or SUV.
