Just come back to Califonia and live in the Bay Area. For 6-700K you can buy a 3 bdrm 40 year old shack. Then you could fight the traffic whenever you decide to go the lake.
Just playing though...
I wish I could convince you to come to Cali, but for the reasons you have stated, it is probably not a good choice.

I don't know about dead. It's pretty booming. there is a lot of land surrounding Ocala but Ocala itself is growing. Anywhere in this region has a ton of lakes but land is through the roof.

When I was looking at boats a few years ago, I liked the supra/moomba boats, especially the launch. I agree with everyone about mastercraft being way overprice, they are good boats though and seem to hold some value. We ended up with a MB Sports boat that we got for much less since it was used. Only thing I don't like about it is its not a vdrive.

this is what i use for a ski boat. dont let its small size or the motor fool you its a beast. motor is bored like a monster. has a piston the size of a 572 in it and it has a 25 shot of nitrous on it. i usually have me and 3 others in the boat and pull 2 wakeboards up with it no problem. nah i would get a ski natique also.
