Georgia.. Buford/Flowery Branch area... Lake Lanier lol. Plenty of land that is WAY cheaper than Cali and its still in it's semi-country stage here. Also... lots of opportunity for starting up a business, especially automotive since this place is starting to boom and EVERYONE and their mother attempts to upgrade their vehicles here.

Lake Travis is awsome we have a lake house in spicewood and love it. Hardly anyone down on our part of the lake. Very peaceful basically old person neighborhood. We have a mastercraft thats a 91' I belive we bought it brand new it might have 400 hours on the motor. We love it but as someone said above they are very pricey but im pretty sure well worth it. Also you could check out lake summerville or lake palestine.

Atlanta area would be nice. I am familiar with lake lanier. I used to go there with my ex. I could deal with living outside atlanta though.

We just bought a new wakeboarding boat last year, went through the same dilemma. We decided:

Mastercraft is way overpriced
Malibu was about to go through a hull re-design, didn't want to buy right before the bottom dropped out of the resale value (don't know if they have yet)
Nautiques seemed decent but they are narrow boats (I have a friend with one, nice boats, killer wake with a 3-bag ballast, but not much room inside)
We bought a Tige because of the customer service at the AZ dealer, but I have not heard good things about a lot of Tige dealers. 22 footer, 2003 model, V-drive. It's a wide boat, nice wake (although I am looking at putting together a ballast system right now), works good for slalom too with the TAPS adjustable planing system. I board, mom slaloms, and we both love it.

Why not look at Lake Martin in Alabama.. Its fairly new to people outside of Alabama and you can still get a good deal on the property. It however wont be that way for long as houses are trippling in value. www.lakemartin.com Also Super Air Nautiques are the bomb but I think im going to get me a Supra Launch 21V..

Not as good IMO as Nautiques. My friends brother had an 01 Supra Launch which was a very nice over priced and didn't hold value like a nautique.

It may not be the state you wanted but have you considered GA like Clark Hill, Lake Oconee, and Lake Sinclair
