Default new site question

Noticed at the top it says "Performancetrucks.net" with a chevy, dodge, and ford banner. Does that mean this is a general truck forum and not a Chevy truck forum? Is LS1tech branching off the truck section to Performancetrucks to handle now?

From what ive read.. the Truck section at ls1tech was getting to big and it needed to have its own site. So when they designed the new site they wanted to include other Brand to make this the best truck performance site on the net.. like ls1tech is the best gm peformance site on the net. For the most part its mostly GM guys right now but the other guys will start to trickle in. This is going to be an awesome site if it works out how the admins want it too.. I cant wait to see what happens down the road. So far so good.. still the same ole family that was on ls1tech.. just a different site.. a good one at that..

Here is a copy of what Tony said in another Thread...

he fact is, our truck segment on LS1TECH is very popular. Unfortunately, we could never get any big name truck sponsors/manufacturers to join the site simply because they viewed LS1TECH as a "Camaro site". No matter how busy or popular the truck forums were, they only saw the entire site and labeled it as a Camaro/Firebird/Corvette site. They have every reason to do so, because that makes up the majority of our membership over there.

So, this kept the truck forums from growing. Had we allowed them to expand, eventually the truck forums would be MUCH larger than the LS1 related forums. Think about how many performance trucks exist vs vehicles with LS1 engines. The numbers are staggering in comparison.

With the new site, the truck performance forum can GROW. It can also form its own identity in the media and racing world. We fully expect this site to grow into something much larger than LS1TECH. The industry is there, the market is there, and the truck sales are there. Sure, it might take a while, but we have big plans in store.

So, please quit thinking you got the boot from LS1TECH. That isn't even close to the truth. We recognized the need for a stand-alone performance truck site in order to allow it to grow its potential, and here it is.

Now if we (GM) only had a real performance truck.

It will be interesting to see how this goes.
