I thought they looked like fake cats. I'm not running a muffler right now, but I still have my cats. I can't imagine how freaking loud my truck would be with headers, no cats, and a strait pipe.

I still may look into these headers though. For the price, I can deal with an ugly hump on one side, as long as the functionality of the header is good, and there's a value add for the PITA install. I like the fact they are bolt up and come with everything. Really can't beat it if you're budget minded.

The headers will be a great addition. And as long as you get the headers with y pipe, anyone with a little common sense can install them.

You don't have to get the ones with the ugly hump on the driver's side, DV2000NJ used headers for a Tahoe or something like that, and they're the same headers and y-pipe, only without the hump. He linked to them somewhere along the line, maybe in rel3rd's epic ebay/OBX header thread...

OK, Pacesetter #82-1176 ORY has been ordered. LT headers will be ordered on Friday. I hope I don't regret it. I'm the one doing the install. SO, in my bag of shitty install equipment will be:

a new set of factory GM header gaskets

Break free (over night soak, frequent re-coats)

Anti sieze

A ready-to-go custom tune for my Diablo from RPM, subtracting down stream O2 sensors.

24 pack of Dos Equis (with a couple limes)

48 hours for lead time, incase I run into issues

2 new upstream O2 sensors

new OEM header bolts

Did I forget anything? Oh, an extra box of Winchester supreme elite PDX1's for my Glock incase the install goes wrong. Don't worry, it's fully insured.
