so you will add a gear and headers and you will go from 14.7 to 13.9? damn you must run a straw from manifolds lol. i just remember you talkin all this smack the last year or so about hwo you are going twin turbos and gonna smash the diesel crowds.
also if you know your diesels, then you know how many fast duramaxs are out there. you just dont want to talk about it. just because you havent traveled and seen the fast ones doesnt mean they dont exist.
so imo, sure your truck is probablyfun and you should be proud of it, but dont say you are going diesel hunting or they are going to you for questions. to go from 16.1s to 14.7s is awesome for a cam and other boltons.
also i dont know what you ar asking me there in the end. i didnt ask you anything that required an answer. i just asked if you were kidding lol. in fact i asked for your low end tq capabilities. i am sure you lost some. 44K lbs sled? that is pretty ambishious of you.

Did not say I was going diesel hunting, after the headers and gears and few other goodies I might. Also my high 13 goal might be little far fletched(might not be though), but goal this year was to get into the 14's for this year. Next year into 13's. Also I planning a STS style turbo setup, but this will really dash my truck pulling hopes, due to the amount of safety equiment you have run when the motor goes FI.
Which I am joining the Heartland Truck Pullers of Minnesota. I usually placed right about mid field in the 6500bls street legal class, with current combo. The motor needs more gear. And yes I was ahead of the diesels(one power box mostly) in my class too.
11 second durmaxes, there out there, but very rare if any. Have yet to see one dmax run 11's on the stock turbo alone, let alone under 12's. I have seen mostly low 13's. Most use nirtous or alky/water injection. Trust me I am going to bust their ***** as much as they bust mine.
Low end towing, don't think I have not lost any if at all. Cam is just more duration not lift. It has stock lift on it. She still runs along at 65mpg at 1700r's, while getting 14.5 to 15.8 for mpg. I call that a success.
Really whats it going to take for you, for me to run 12's or 11's???? Do you have it out for the 8.1??? Gm finially comes out a 500 ci engine with tons of potenial, and everybody is like nah. And you wonder why they don't come out with a high powered 1/2 ton. Plus I like the fact that used big gassers are priced where a pickup should be, not in the high 30's still used!!! Or how they are reasonibly price new, and don't sticker at 48k+++ all pimp out of a diesel. (thats half a house!!!!!)
