Well the HD, running well today. Don't think it's to bad for cam only and home made bolt-ons on a 6200lbs truck.

Had alot of people confused today, with diesel-style cat back. Few guys actually walked by calling it a duramax. fools Was running in Cummings land too must been about 8 Ram 2500's out in force and parts on the track, the HD was holding her own against them and their power boxes. mostly had 50 and 70hp tunes.

All in all good day, proved that just the cam only was worth 8/10th's

Good deal I knew the old girl had it in her. All you need now is some N2O and low 13 will be in order. Maybe you could deflate some of the D-Max guys head if thats possible.

Sweet times man As the saying goes "Theres no Replacement for Displacement" Ever heard of anybody putting the 8100 in a RCSB ??

 

I am thinking 4.56's and headers for come spring, should get me close to 13's. I thinking that nothing will deflate thier(dmax diesel heads) bubble faster, when they find its only cam and headers and running high 13's( I hope).
I thinking once I get another older truck to be a tow truck, I will have a fair well party(lots of NOS) for the motor, with a stand alone fuel system(lots of NOS).

just need to play by the rules the diesel guys use. put half as much boost to that 8.1 as a duramax has and they wouldn't even be close.

 

so let me get this straight, you are going to brag to diesel guys about your 14.7 ET? btw, how did it affect your low end towing capacity? i am sure it will be faster if you throw enough wallet at it, but you still arent gonna impress the 11 second duramax boys

 

What 11 second duramax boys???, have not seen any in person yet. Or are you talking about the one time Mtomac went 11.9 on drugs(lots of them) on his duramax. Or are you talking about the "12 second cummings" that was there and left coolant and oil on the track. Ran a 13.4 with twin turbos and propane.
Well heck $500 and a bottle fill I can be mid 12's right now. Cheaper If I buy a used wet kit. But more interested in N/A right now.
And no I am not bragging to the diesel crowd, their the ones asking me the questions.
uuummm yeah I really throwing the wallet at, with a total of $675 for cam and tune, spead out over 2 years. "help I am broke aaahhh." The other stuff has not really made HP impact, just added some show to the go. But you notice that every time I go to track I have been faster. This trend will go on. What are you going to say when I just have headers, cam, and gears that hopefully will run high 13's(no drugs and no boost). Then what will happen when the wet kit goes on at a 200 shot? Towing, I can tow the 44,000 lbs weight transfer sled just find. Don't really tow with it, It my toy!!! some people have snowmoblies, some have atvs. I have an HD
