Default New Car maybe.

Last night me and my wife were in a accident in her car a 05 CRV. I think it will be totaled, but the appraser needs to go see it first.

My wife is leaning towards a Acadia, and I was wondering if any of you guys have an opinion on there performance, saftey, value.

If she gets this vehicle I may upgrade to a Sierra XFE or a regular quad cab. So I can carry people around as ever since I got my 2 door I always need to drive more then just me. Since 2 cars sweeten the deal the loss on my truck won't be that bad so I can probilty get away with it.

So anybody have opions on the XFE too?

I test drove an arcadia for a day and wasn't all that impressed with the performance. Felt sluggish to me. But it had a lot of interior room and was pretty comfortable and I think it had three rows of seats. You can get it in AWD which is great if you need to get around in the snow or bad weather. Guess its all in what you are looking for. I was thinking about buying my wife one but decided against it after driving it. We are leaning toward a pontiac G8 GT.

I Love the Sierra XFE. 5.3, 6-speed tranny, lightened components, nice stance...All the things I'm looking for.

Seems like it'd make a good performance base too.

I also like the Acadias but have never driven one.

just read up about the xfe, nice truck. i mean it doesnt get that much better milege. seems the money you would spend on doing a rear gear swap (3.08) would pay for the lighten control arms and lower air dam. but then again its also lowered with a 6 speed

I know two people who have one, both are 2wd. Neither owner is really impressed with the gas mileage, but say the ride & room are good. One of them previously had a Tahoe and said it got better mileage in the city than the Acadia.

I would just get the reg crew cab if you really have to get a crew. I haven't looked but how much more is the XFE?? all the 09 crew 5.3's have the 6 speed but the normal ones come with 3.42's

09 acadia got the DI 3.6 so that should give it a nice bump in power.

Well my wife and I were on the way to see my doctor for a follow up to wednesdays accident. So when the freeway comes to a stop the idiot behind us did not like that idea.

Not only did I get to visit the emergency room again for some A number one drugs, but the rental got towed away.

So if I get any kind of decent settlement, and my wife wants the Acadia I will almost surely upgrade my truck.

ColyneedsV8

Currently only XFE, MAX, or Denali get the 6 speed auto's unless you get a HD where all do.

I pretty much would love a crew cab now since I now have to drive people around, but I do like the 6 speed. For me the biggest point is which one will get me a better deal. That is if my wife wants the Acadia where I can negotiate for 2 vehicles to help with the bad trade in value for my truck. If she gets something else I may go see what I can do, but I will probily finish my truck right off. Then by tools that I dream of with the rest.
