Default Need tire size recommendations

I have a 99 ecsb and I'm crossed between running a 15x10 which from what I understand you need to grind the caliper down to fit? or a 17x9.5 both made by 1320 wheels. My buddy said I should run 29.5"+ tall of a tire but I can't seem to find any drag radials that big for the 17s. Any recommendations?

Depends on if you are just wanting tires for a daily driver or a truck that will see the track. I would go to 15's so you are able to run a 30" tire if you are going to be hitting the track. I think you are stuck with 28" tires when running 17's.

I make the brackets to convert to 15's without grinding the calipers down. I run 15's daily on my truck now. My track tire is a 315/60-15 on a 15x10 wheel. I will be going with 295/65-15's next time for more leaf spring clearance.

If you're not making significant power, you will be faster on a 28" tire more than likely.
