Default Need help deciding..

Hey fellas. Im looking to do an electric fan conversion on my 2000 Silverado. Prob is, i dont know what is the best fan setup to use. What fits the best? Im sure everyone is using a dual fan setup, if not what single setup works the best? Once i can find out the best setup to use, i can hit the ground running, but like i said, i dont wanna just fab something up, and it not look good as well. Thanks to all yall for any help you can provide. It is greatly appreciated..

LS1 fans are your best bang for the buck. you can find them on ebay for 80 to 100 dollars. do a search for LS1 Fans.

I bought the Flex-a-Lite dual fans for the 28" radiator. The install was simple and the fit was excellent. I say "was" because I had to remove them and go back to my clutch fan for now. In low speed heavy load towing situations the engine temp would climb above 240 degrees. The temps would drop right back down as soon as I got moving at highway speeds again. When I am finished installing my new motor I will most likely go with the 34" version of the fans.

05+ silverado fans can be had for around $200, and look factory when installed ( i guess it s because they are lol). the bolt up perfect to a 34" radiator and wire up easy with a nelson harness.

if you don't already have a 34" radiator though, it is an expensive upgrade. you're looking at $200 or so for fans and $200 or more for a 34" radiator. then you need the harness for $75. ls1 fans + harness can be had for about $150.

well his post said nothing about wanting the cheapest setup. the 05+ fans fit the best, and look the best too.
