is my reluctor wheel bad?
#1

My truck has been skipping progressively worse. I pulled the crank sensor out, and there are gouges in the sensor from the reluctor wheel hitting it. I started another thread and it appears there were problems with the sensor being too close, and hitting the wheel. It just doesnt look right to me that there is such a space between the plates of the new crank, and not the stock one. This is a new Eagle Crank.

From searching around on the net, apparently there are 2 style reluctor wheels for the 24T. There was an early version that had the plates very close together, and a later version that was spaced apart. I am going ot try shimming the sensor away and see if that resolves the problem. Any other suggestions out there?
