Default my ram air

Did some testing with a custom ram air setup. I gained a little over 2 tenths with it. I'll have to take a look at the time slips again but it gained almost 3 mph. Remeber, the faster you go the more power your going to make with a ram air setup. Well anyways heres all the pics that i know yall are wanting to see.

thats bad ***, i wouldnt think you would see any gains from that. might have to find my old stock airbox and figure out how to make this work.

yes its 4" sewer piping (thin wall pipe). I had to build a custom bumper bracket, and grind on the frame a little to make it all fit good

i have a similar set up with my truck...i ended up getting a scoop that a member custom made for the 03-05 silverados but it ended up working on my truck...

https://www.performancetrucks.net/fo...d.php?t=315183

so i ended up hookin the scoop up to a 4" dryer duct and getting a sewer adapter from home depot...you can kinda see the end result in this pic

i would defiantly recommend getting somethin to stop the 'larger' road debris from entering the box, i got some weird stuff in there like leaves or even cig. butts...i had picked up some nylon mesh/screen and put it after the scoop, its helps tremendously...also i recently put on a filter wrap to help with all the road salt and sand from the winter roads up here after realizing my filter was almost full of **** after a few weeks...since then no probs...

didn't think ram air would do that much, especially with a few peices of pipe

i dont think it does other than keeping IATs very low...my IATs drop very quickly after sitting in traffic and while cruising compared to my K&N FIPK....
