slowprocess - I noticed that you are using the Superchips programmer and I was wondering what shift point settings do you use, along with the shift firmness?

Another thing I have to ask you about the Superchips programmer. Do your shifts feel jerky at all or do they kind of blend together? Because I had a problem with mine not to lond ago and I sent it back to Superchips to fix. Well I got it back last week and when I loaded it onto my truck, the shifts seemed to hesitate and blend together quite a bit. They weren't real jerky like when I first programed my truck. Right now I can really feel the 1-2 shift because that one is kind of jerky but the 2-3 & 3-4 shifts kind of blend together. Sorry so long.

I didn't really fine tune anything, I just basically programmed it usnig the maximum performance setting. As far as the shifts go, the only time it is extremely rough is if I'm in tow/haul. Other than that, the shifts are pretty smooth. The only problem I ever had with the programmer was when I first installed in on my truck. It gave me a message that it had to be updated, so I sent it back to superchips. They sent it back and it has performed perfectly ever since.

Since you asked, I decided to go play around with my tuner. I don't know if its a different model than yours(mine is a micro tuner 2001), but it wouldn't give me any option of shift points or any fine tuning whatsoever. Does anybody know why, or do I just have an outdated tuner? The only options I had was to increase the shift firmness and tire/gear size. It also let me program for z-rated tires. This lack of fine tuning kinda makes me mad.

What is the part number of the tuner? Mine is 2715.

By the way, way to go on the 351 Cleveland kill!

The part number on my programmer is 2275. I guess its the older model. Yeah, I was pretty siked about that kill. I told him to go "fix" the problem and we would do it again.

Cleveland is 90 miles south on hwy 61,a straight flat 4 lane,I don't get that far south unless I'm in my Pete.I'd have to hook a chain to drag anything in it.
They are having a 6 sec. street car shotout at Memphis Motorsports this weekend that should be worth the drive. Are you considering the Thunder in La.next month?I think about a dozen guy's from this area are going, trucks and f-bodys.Baton Rouge is only about 6 hours south. Jim ps.Damn goodlookin truck.I'm running an ext.cab with exhaust work and a hypertech tunner.
