Default Motor swap starting tonight

Everyone wish me luck...the LS1 swap is starting right now. We're going to try to have everything ready to pull the motor out first thing in the morning.

I CAN'T WAIT! I'll be sure to let everyone know how the first drive goes! Wish me luck!

I have a couple of people locally that might get it. If not, I'll post it in the truck classifieds!

On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the most difficult, what would you rate a 4.8 to 6.0 liter swap like you're doing? I'd Imagine it's probably pretty easy, am I right? When I get a 6.0, I'm thinking of just doing the swap on a weekend with a friend, so I don't have to pay a shop hundreds $$$. Thanks

Had a little difficulty with the flexplate-to-torque convertor bolts, but other than that, the longblock is in the truck. getting ready to finish the swap today (intake/exhaust manifolds, wiring, etc.)

Couple of things that I noticed:

1) The A/C bracket has one extra bolt hole that doesn't have a boss on the aluminum block. I think that 4 out of 5 is sufficient!

2) If you decide to use ARP main studs and the truck oil pan, you need two more nuts/washers to fully attach the truck windage tray. The car tray has 8 bolts, and the truck has 10.

3) It looks like the truck has lifted about an inch or so with the aluminum block in there. I'm going to measure it again when we get some weight back on it and I drive it for a while.

There's nothing about this swap that seems too difficult. There are a LOT of wires and a LOT of bolts!
