Default Man there crackin down in my part of cali

, well it looks like there on a new kick in my area. On the weekends if you get pulled over for any reason they tell you to pop your hood and if you refuse they say they will arrest you and impound your car. After they pop your hood they will write a ticket for any modification even if you have a carb eo sticker. So even with the sticker they will give you a ticket for "mods", but here's the kicker they make you go to a state ref so you can't just get it signed off by another cop. So this means you have to go to the ref and they give a full inspection including the sniffer so even if you pass for what you got the ticket for if you have other problems than you get dinged with the other problems and have to take care of that. So in short its gettin ridicoulous down here and you get pulled over for anything including modified exhaust and get a ticket even if your modifications are legal. If i get pulled over and have to go to the ref, well im completly screwed ..

On another note does anyone know how one would go about getting a 230/245 duration cam to pass the sniffer

Mississippi keeps looking better and better. that sucks goat ballz that they are doing that. I am sure if you raise enough hell with legislation in your state something can be done. otherwise, weekend cruising is dead forever in CA.

Yup it sucks, they have pretty much takin away anything to do in this area. Can't go to parties without raids and getting aressted, can't cruise because you will instantly get pulled over and screwed, forget street racing all together... There is really nothing left to do other than sit in a corner at home. It sucks pretty bad

what happened to land of the free is this freedom? Stuff like this really pisses me off not to get off on a rant here (in my best dennis miller voice) I cant stand all the rules that infringe on personnal freedoms and dont get me started on the government attacking the tobacco companies, when was it that you ever heard of the government going after jack daniels distillery for someone running a red light and killing other people

Next they are gonna tell you that cheeseburgers are illegal because they are unhealthy

and if I wanna drive around without my seatbelt on thats my choice I know the risks involved

Im not a redneck but Id much rather be associated with a rebel than the beurocrats and government that is slowly squeezing the fun out of life and what is means to be an American.

that **** would never fly over here in the south Im sorry to hear about it there is no way in hell your gettin my flowmaster I dont care if it resonates my brain to mush
**** em all I would be really pissed if I had to live there. rant off

feel alittle better now man that irritates me

yea, that sums it up. sounds like yall got some weak city officials in your area, or the youth isn't stepping up and doing it's part by taking part of city council meetings and such. remember, all things are voted on. at least they used to be

Ya it seems like there pushing more and more here and getting away with more and more. It seems like everyone is brain washed or something, the cops here can do whatever they please. I never understood the seatbelt thing though, what does it matter if you don't wear your seatbelt? Its not affecting anyone else, you are the only one that will be injured worse in a wreck. You not wearing your seatbelt isn't going to kill someone other than yourself, so what is the big deal? Ya it pisses me off living here, we are the number 3 in theft and number 1 in meth production where i live and they increase there traffic force and don't touch anything else because the city is now getting the money for tickets where the state was getting the ticket money before. So instead of trying to reduce crime they are trying to reduce traffic infractions, well i guess there not there just trying to line there pockets. if they would reduce crime and thefts it would be way more beneficial than traffic infractions. But it seems like they don't care about the gang violance or the drug problems, i would rather deal with someone flying by me because they are going over the speed limit then worry about getting shot for looking in my side view mirror.

yea, that sums it up. sounds like yall got some weak city officials in your area, or the youth isn't stepping up and doing it's part by taking part of city council meetings and such. remember, all things are voted on. at least they used to be
I guess i need to look into this because something needs to be done. It's ridicolous.

The east coast is looking better all the time!!!!
What I have found is that *some* government authorities seem to go after the easy kills such as a person wanting to modify a vehicle rather than "risking their lives" going after the people who are really killing our society (drug dealers, etc.). Granted, I don't want to put my life on the line for a job but it was a given with that type of work. At one point it was rumored in a town I lived in that the police were not to go into certain areas of town (drugs, etc.) because they ran a greater risk of having their new cars messed up. The "locals" in these areas would throw rocks, etc. at the police cars if they came through.... now that's f'ed up . That's why they carry guns, right (oh wait, we can't use those in the US either because of "crminal right" ). I don't know if I feel much better after this rant .

Just wait my friends, if its happening here it eventually will happen everywhere. The government is like the 2 year old kid you tell not to go in the street, so just to see what they can get away with they go stand on the curb slowly inching themselves closer and closer to the asphalt until you get mad than they know the limit. Get mad, stand up for your rights soldiers with families have given their lives for them and it would be a shame for their deaths to be for nothing.
