Default LS3 swap heartburn....need some advice

So I am installing an LS3 416 and using the LS3 intake with NW 92mm throttle body. The alt bracket fits fine, but no room for the intake to bolt down as the throttle body (IAC and TPS) clashes with the truck bracket.

I am using the dirty dingo water pump spacers and LS1 style water pump and that stuff fits fine.

It appears the idler pulley will also be in the way of the intake air tube when I install one?

Also tried using the LS6 style steam port connectors on the front of the head and that clashes with the bracket as well. Will I have to use an aftermarket vapor vent kit?

Is the ls3 intake any better than the truck?

i hear ya. everything ends up being a huge pain in the ***. it is very easy to run an aftermarket steam set up. i just bagged a set of adapters that went to 1/8 npt and grabbed some fittings and silicone hose online. was easy.

the rest of the fitment will be harder. might be worth looking into the truck manifold as mentioned earlier.

Well the truck intake is a moot point. I am installing an LS3 stroker with LS3 heads. The LS3 intake was available.

So anyway after a little searching I discovered that I just have to trim the alternator bracket and relocate the idler pulley using the Dirty Dingo relocation bracket. LS3 intake should sit nicely after that.

For the steam kit I think I am just going to buy the Trick Flow kit and runt it from all four ports.

I forgot all about having to do that when i tried out an LS6 intake with truck accessories. It can be done without the dirty dingo kit. just put the idler on one of the alternator bracket bolts. you need a longer bolt and some washers to space the idler out correctly.

later model trucks came with square port heads too, so there are truck intakes that will work with your combo.

Got it solved, but it took some doing. Dirty Dingo mod, move MAP sensor to back, fabricated a throttle bracket from the original truck bracket, etc

I wanted to vent all four corners. It's the Trick Flow kit from Summit. It really doesn't work well with stock intakes though. I think it's meant for aftermarket intakes. I had to do some creative plumbing to make it happy
