Default LS3 cam in a LM7

2000 GMC Sierra 5.3l lm7. Im putting a cam in my 12 Camaro so now I will have a cam and springs from my 5000 mile camaro sitting around. was wondering if I could put it in my truck? truck has 90,000 on it so probably should use the camaros springs too. would have New Era dyno tune it. would it be worth it probably cost me a little over $500 with tune($450) and GM parts

The factory LS3 cam is a one-bolt design. Your LM7 needs a 3 bolt.

why would it need a 3 bolt? I thought the 3 bolt was so It could handle the heaver springs. Im putting a 3 bolt in the camaro.
So its a no go

It can be done but the cost to do it, you might as well buy a ls6 cam for your engine. Need to change front cover to 05 up, cam gear, ect
